We updated the website first thing so did not get going until around half 9. once on the road we headed from Tekal in the direction of Honduras. We stopped for breakfast/lunch at a small tin hut where a chap was cooking fresh chicken, bloody hell it was good.

By around 3 or 4pm we had reached the border... I never noticed it and thought it was just another military check point so rode straight past, I stopped about half a mile up the road as George was not beh...

Day 39

Miles: not many

First job of the day was to find magna gasolina and something to eat. Gassing up was a syphon yourself affair. We purchased 12 litres between us, some of which I used to wash down my malaria pill and clean my eyes.

It was then of to Mexican immigration to get stamped out of the country. As we left the immigration office we were instantly surrounded by boat owners offering us a lift to Guatemala on the other side of the river. We brokered a price of $25US eac...
